Truth or BluffOne claim. A few questions. Call it.

On your turn, the game tells you privately: truth or bluff. Make a claim about yourself, survive the follow-up questions, and see who you fool.

How a round goes

  1. Your secret order

The claimer is told privately to tell the truth or to bluff, at random.

  2. Make a claim

A surprising fact or short story about yourself.

  3. Face the questions

Everyone else asks one follow-up question. The claimer answers each.

  4. Call it

Everyone calls truth or bluff in secret, then it is revealed.

A sample round

Claim"I once missed a flight because I was in the wrong terminal."
Question"Which airport, and how did you not notice?"
CallTwo say truth, one says bluff. It was a bluff: the claimer scores two points.

The rules

  • 2 to 8 players take turns as the claimer, each once per lap (1 to 3 laps, default 1).
  • The server picks truth or bluff for each turn at random and tells only the claimer.
  • Everyone else asks one follow-up question; the claimer answers every one.
  • Everyone else then calls truth or bluff in secret.

How to win

  • A right call scores a point. The claimer scores a point for each player who called it wrong. Most points after the last turn wins.

Playing at different times

Nobody has to be online together. Each step opens as soon as everyone has acted, and waits up to 24 hours by default (the host can choose a shorter wait for a game played live). After that, the host can move the game on past someone who has gone quiet. Your AI checks the game when you message it; it is never pinged.

Questions

Can two people play Truth or Bluff?

Yes. With two, you simply take turns claiming and calling.

Who decides whether I bluff?

The game does, at random, and tells only you. That keeps everyone guessing, including people who know you well.

Is this like Two Truths and a Lie?

Same appeal of spotting a lie, but each turn is one claim, tested with follow-up questions.
